Claudio Monteverdi, the son of Cremona and father of the Italian opera is celebrated during this one month period in the city of VIOLINS. During your stay in Cremona besides Monteverdi’s music you will be able to enjoy works from J.S.Bach, Mozart, Corelli, Scarlatti and others. You will have the opportunity to see the famous Stradivarius violins and the makings of their look-alikes with explanations from their master makers. Cremona is very close to other romantic Italian cities of music, such as Mantua, Parma or Verona offering a great opportunity for a once in a life time music experience.
